In this tutorial we are going to install a plugin into our Wordpress website.
The plugin we are going to install is called "Ultimate TinyMCE". this replaces the normal " WYSIWYG " content editor to give us more control and options to create better article layouts for our pages.
Install the plugin by going to Plugins > Add New.
The Install plugins page will open.
Here we will search for our plugin by just typing "tinymce" into the searchbox.
We will be given a list of options to choose from with a description of each individual plugin we can install.
Look down the list until you see the Ultimate TinyMCE listing.
Then just click on the install Link to start the installation.
You will see the progress as the plugin installs on your website. Depending on how fast your server is this may take a minute or two. Once you see plugin has installed just click the "Activate Plugin" link.
After activation, click the Ultimate TinyMCE Settings Page link to begin setup. You can also access the settings at any time from the dashboard menu Settings > Ultimate TinyMCE.
Go to the Default Settings Tab.
Check the confirmation box then click "Load Defaults" button. If you don't do this, you will only see standard buttons and won't see any of the Ultimate TinyMCE buttons.
Now go to an article within your site an see the difference in the editor.
We now have installed a feature rich editor for our content that will help us produce better looking articles in Wordpress.
